Hi Kmpn,

Nice post. Since you are a Lamy expert, I have a question for you. I bought a Lamy pen from a HK stationary shop couple of months ago. When I look on Lamy's website, it looks identical to Lamy's CP 1 fountain pen. But on the website, CP 1 is only available in black and Platinum, but mine has a white body with a black clip. I don't think it is a special edition, it just looks like a regular pen. I regret buying it coz when i go back home, i realize that the white body colour has faded possibly due to prolong exposure to the sunlight, and the white colour under the price tag is relatively white. I assume the pen had been sitting in the shop for quite a long time before I bought it. Anyway my worry is just I bought a fake Lamy pen. But the pen performs quite well. What's your opinion? Sorry for the long message.

like this one ?
CP1 White

it's a discontinued model of cp 1,
the clip is black, and there is a little breath hole under the clip. also it may GERMANY or W. GERMANY engraved under the clip.

well, i'm no expert on Lamy. If you have any question, you can always write an email to the Lamy HQ asking for assistance on identification of your pen. they are very helpful indeed.

thanks.

You are right! Indeed it says W GERMANY under the clip! Wow I am excited! I begin to think probably I should retire my pen as a work pen! Though you said you are not an expert, you must be a die hard fan of Lamy.
