In 2011, the pink safari appears with a pink cross pen cap top. the lime also has a green cross. and so as the orange one...

In 2013, the pink safari re-issued with black cross cap top. and it appears as regular model in 2014.

the "Green" safari is available with a black cross cap top in 2014.

here they are,

some of the regular production versions,
vista (transparent), hot (red), sky (blue), safari (yellow), s2 (charcoal), griso (grey), alpin (white).
the griso (grey) had matt finish and alpin (white with black clip) were available as matt and glossy finish. alpin and griso were discontinued. Lamy stopped using the term hot, sky and s2 in 2008, and replaced them with shiny red, shiny blue and matt charcol.

I have enjoyed reading your blog
very much. Being a new resident in Hong Kong, I wonder if you can recommend a few Pen shops that I can find a good collection of Pelikan and Lamy fountain pens?

a list of pen shops can be found here

you can find Pelikan and Lamy pens in the pen shops in Central. of course, other pen shops also carry them.

firstly, I would like to appreciate your blog and it's really awesome. I am trying to collect all of the Lamy safari, however I just can't find Savanna Green, Terracotta Orange, and the limited edition of 2004 and 2006. So, if may I ask where i can get those Safari in HK? Thanks. BTW, I come from Taiwan :)

hello Tzeng Wei, thank you for you kind comment. the 2004 (flame) and 2006 (Blue and red) are usually found on international auction sites, and the price varies.

however, for the Savanna Green and Terracotta Orange, they may appear occasionally on the auction site in Germany.

Do you know if the white Safari with black clip ever game with a gray ring? I may have a frankenpen and wonder.

kmpn said...

usually, the clip matches with the nib's color, but there are exceptions.
white safari with gray ring should have a plain chrome nib installed.
